Interested in energizing a work in progress? Join Carole and John in the stunning desert beauty of Palm Springs for an intensive three day writing retreat. This collaborative workshop is designed to strengthen the essential elements of writing necessary for success no matter what your chosen genre or medium.

Carole and John have collaborated on seven books and a number of comic series together, including the acclaimed HOLLOW EARTH (Aladdin) fantasy series, CONJUROR and their most recent, NEPHILIM (Head of Zeus), as well as THE DARK ARCHER (DC Comics) and WORLD WITHOUT END (Titan Comics).

John has been on lots of television and stage shows, including playing Malcolm Merlyn on ARROW and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, and Captain Jack on DOCTOR WHO and TORCHWOOD.

Carole is a professor of English and the director of the creative writing program at Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI, where, among other things, she teaches a class called “The Future in Film and Fiction.”

SUNDAY – The Business of Writing

3:00PM-5:00PM Celebration of Writers



Submit $25 non refundable application fee using the PayPal link below. You will be emailed an application form upon receipt of payment. Writers must be over 18 and must submit a short sample of a work (250-300 words) to be considered.

Accommodations for 3 nights (check in Friday check out Monday) at the Monkey Tree Hotel

Continental breakfast, lunch, happy hour sangria all days. Welcome Dinner on Friday. Dinners on Saturday and Sunday are not included.

If your application is accepted, application deposit will apply towards final workshop fee.

Workshop attendance is limited to 17 people.
